Production

Astoria coffee machines are produced in the CMA Group's new plant, inaugurated in Susegana (Treviso) in 2007, and designed for “lean manufacturing”.

“Lean manufacturing” is a cutting-edge industrial philosophy, which originated in Toyota, that aims to minimize and thereby eliminate waste.

The production process is viewed as a whole in order to minimize the complexity of production, targeting flexibility. This has led CMA to rationalize workflows and machine assembly procedures, as well as to a significant increase in productivity, gaining overall efficiency.

The plant covers a total area of 40,000 square metres and has a covered surface area of 19,000 square metres. It has an overall potential production rate of 70,000 machines per year.
